Fitness 1 : you are fit but without any particular training. You can hike up to 4 hours in a day with a positive elevation gain of up to 600m.

Fitness 2 : you have good physical fitness, no particular training, but you regularly walk and/or bike for daily transportation. You can hike up to 6 hours in a day with a positive elevation gain of up to 1000m.

Fitness 3 : you are athletic and active. You engage in endurance sports at least once a week (such as long hikes, running, cycling, swimming, etc.). You can hike up to 6 hours in a day with a positive elevation gain of up to 1200m, or up to 8 hours in a day with a positive elevation gain of up to 1000m, including with a loaded backpack.

Fitness 4 : you are very athletic and have excellent endurance. You engage in endurance sports several times a week (such as long hikes, running, cycling, swimming, etc.). You can hike up to 8 hours in a day with a positive elevation gain of up to 1500m, including with a loaded backpack.
