Description:

  • Day 1 : there are 2 options for the first day depending on the physical level and desires of the participants.

Option 1 : starting from the Marchairuz pass, we depart in the late morning for a loop towards the Crêt de la Neuve. The trail alternates between pastures and forests to lead us to the summit where we can enjoy the view of a splendid 360° panorama between the Alps mountain range and the Jura mountain ridges. In the afternoon, we continue our walk with a visit to a local geological curiosity hidden along the path... After this exploration, we return to the Marchairuz pass and spend the night at the hotel.

Option 2 : morning meeting in La Givrine. We then head out for a day of walking towards the Marchairuz pass. The route takes us through forests and alpine pastures, as well as several viewpoints from which we can admire the Alps on the horizon. We cross several typical Jura valleys before reaching the pass and our accommodation at the hotel.

  • Day 2 : this 2nd day is the opportunity to reach the highest summit of the Swiss Jura; the Mont Tendre, which peaks at 1679m. The ridge trail offers us a 360° view of the Vallée de Joux, the Jura range, and the highest peaks of the Alps. The route is always easy and the gentle curves of the terrain invite to a peaceful walk. We reach the end of this weekend at the Mollendruz pass where we meet public transportation to take us back home.
